Joint Ventures on Squidoo

They say birds of a feather flock together, but what about Squidoo lensmasters? Since RocketMom's inception and success, many other groups have been created where lensmasters are sharing ideas, projects, and even lensmaking challenges. From Squidoo specialty groups to community blogging forums to weekly podcasts, small groups of like-minded lensmasters are popping up everywhere!

Have you collaborated with other lensmasters for a project on or off of Squidoo? Think You Might Want to Be a RocketMom?

You might have heard of RocketMoms, the invitation-only group of the smartest moms on Squidoo. The small-group mentoring atmosphere of RocketMoms has surpassed even the wildest expectations and the first three sessions of RocketMoms have produced hundreds of quality Squidoo lenses.

If you've thought that maybe you'd like to participate, but you weren't sure, here's some good news. RocketMoms will have a Try-It Week October 19-23, which will be an intensive teaching and lensmaking week for those who want to see exactly how the group works. If you like what you see, you'll be welcome to stick around for the next session of RocketMoms, a special six-week holiday lensbuilding session that promises to be superific and fantastical! (Feel free to substitute your favorite made-up super-adjectives.)

Squid Grads and More Squid Grads

Lots of goings on at Squidoo this week, as usual. On Monday, the second-session class of RocketMoms celebrated their graduation. Wednesday was graduation for Giant Squid Summer School students.

Each member of the two groups was required to complete one lens assignment per week for eight weeks in order to officially graduate. A total of 140 RocketMoms participated, as did over 70 Summer School Giants. Of the 56 RocketMom grads and 47 Summer School grads, 20 lensmasters were on both lists!

All in all, Squidoo is now richer by about 500 new, first-class lenses as a result of these two projects.

Congratulations to all the grads, and thanks for your hard work from which we all will benefit!
