Oops! I just discovered another of my custom lens bios with a coded link in it. Guess what: Code in the custom bio doesn't work anymore.
If you've been around Squidoo for a long time, you may have lens bios with links, too. Now's a great time to go through your lenses, look for those, and take them out. It's a quick and easy lens update that really makes a big difference in the look of your lens. (Incomplete bios look far from professional.)
For now the simple link in my profile/default bio works, but with the upcoming changes to the bio page and inclusion of the social connection buttons, I'm thinking that might not be the case for long (and I won't need my own link to G+ anyway) so I'm headed there next to take mine out. Keep an eye out for those changes, too, and remember to update accordingly.
Sharing my squidiction with the masses, throwing in some how to Squidoo tips along the way.

About Me (You, too.)
Now that the "About Me" and "My Lenses" modules have been retired, here's another way to help your readers learn more about you.
In the custom bio box on the top right of the lens, add a "call to action" at the end of the custom bio you write for each lens. Simply ask readers to "Click on my picture to learn more about me and see what else I've been writing about."
That's how I'm going to start updating my custom bio boxes.
I like this idea. Should have thought about it before!

Monthly Squidoo Profile Tune-Up
Here's a quick Squidoo tip for today. It's a new month. Time to update your profile.
You can feature up to five lenses on your lensmaster profile page. Last month you might have featured Easter lenses. This month, change the lenses to reflect the calendar by choosing topics related to Mother's Day, Memorial Day, or summer vacations. Go to the "Profile" tab on your dashboard and look for "featured lenses" to update your choices.
While you're there, take a look at your default lensmaster bio. Is it up-to-date? If not, take this opportunity to freshen it up a bit, too. Not sure what to write? Click here to learn how to write a Squidoo bio.
Ahhh. Now your profile is fresh as a May flower. Doesn't that feel better?
